Customization Rules and Procedures

All of our videos can effectively be used as they are presented, in their generic forms. However, no doubt a bit of customization will make them better and more effective.  Customizing Video Marketing Express videos can make them unique and special to you.    

We are happy to provide you with a customized version of any of our videos. With a customized version, our videos can let your customers know your exact offer, see your product, learn your web address or provide any other details you wish.

There are several different ways customization can be accomplished. Please study the list below to decide which method is best for you. If you need advice or have any questions, please do not hesitate to email. After you have decided how you want your video customized, please fill out the customization request form giving us as much detail as possible.don't forget to include your contact information, including your phone number, so we can get in touch with you if we have questions. 

What Customization Means

Customization performed by the staff at VME (or by you) can take our generic videos and turn them into unique video spots, perfectly reflecting your specific business.

Customization is usually a very simple process. Just a few things need to be changed or added. The majority of the video remains as it is, but a few video or audio elements are swapped out, altered, or otherwise modified to reflect your business. The new, specific video and audio elements mix in well with the video and audio elements already there in order to produce a complete, unique video spot just for you.

To give an analogy, think of of building and buying a new house. The contractor would present you with a few basic floor plans. You'd choose one and then customize it with your choices of paint colors, styles of carpets light fixtures, and so forth. In the same basic way, we offer you a basic video and then add YOUR ebook cover, YOUR narration, YOUR website URL, and so forth. This information can be in the form of added jpegs, narration, clickable links, graphics, or text.  Some of our videos are meant to be combined with others to form a complete video.   

Customization does NOT mean we will re-make the video completely from the ground up. In order to keep VME affordable, we customize generic videos and continually offer new pre-made generic videos so everyone's needs are met. If we were to charge full price for one video, it would be a minimum of $1,000. The budget for videos like this can easily climb to $5,000 or $10,000. 10 grand for one video. Or even higher. Seriously, that is not sales page hype, that is the cost of highly produced videos made from scratch.

The entire concept behind VME is to provide spectacular videos that people can afford. In order to do that, we rely on base videos that are generic. Customization can make them unique to you, but out of practical necessity, there are certain limitations.

Please note that if you wish to download our videos and customize them yourself, you are welcome to do so. In that case, you have permission to do anything you want with them. However, if we do the customizing, then we must adhere to the guidelines below in order to keep membership fees affordable. Thanks for your understanding.

If you chose customization, you can have any or all of the changes in the list below. Most of them are included at no extra charge in your membership fees, but a few will require additional fees as they will require outsourcing beyond Video Marketing Express. Those are indicated in the list below.

Each member is allowed three customized videos per month (customized by our staff) included with their monthly $47 membership fee.  If you need more videos than that per month, we are willing to negotiate a separate fee.  If you can do the customization yourself, you can use as many videos per month as you wiss.

How Videos Can Be Customized

1. ADDING CLICKABLE LINKS AND LOGOS AND URLS

VME is proud to offer state-of-the-art online video interactivity. To make our pre-made videos customized for you, we can add links and logos that click out to any page on the web that you want. Add an interactive clickable link to your sales page, your My Space Page, ebay auction, any page you want! These links can include images and your URL.

In some cases, you may be required to email us a jpeg of the image you wish. For example, if you have an ebook cover you want to use instead of our generic ones, send us the jpeg and we can make it a clickable link inside your video. If you do not have a specific images, we do supply many images and well-known logos for you to use at no extra cost.

We normally do not design logos or ebook covers but we can outsource it for you for an extra fee negotiated separately.

2. EMBED YOUR PDF OR POWER POINT

We can take your PDF file, power point or word document and embed it right inside the video. A viewer just has to click the image and they can immediately download your document. All you need to do is send us the finished document. Soon, we will be able to embed an auto responder form as well. With Video Marketing Express interactive video technology, your video can function in new ways you never thought possible!

3. CHANGE THE NARRATION AUDIO

One of the most complete ways to alter the message of the video is to change the narration audio. Did you wonder when you were browsing our video library why you saw versions with and without narration? Our ready-made versions come with either a female narrator or a male narrator reading the same script. There is also a version with just music. This is the one we can add new narration to. The new narration can say just about anything.

To change the narration, the script can be re-written and a new voice track recorded. The new voice track must match the video track it will be paired with in length.

Since you know what your sales offer is all about and we do not, we ask that you send us script, or at least some form of a script.  We can help you polish it if you send us the basic details.   for all of our videos that contain voice-over narration, the original script for each video is downloadable. To download a PDF with all the scripts, click the "scriptwriting" link in the top navigation bar.  This will take you to our ever-growing library of scriptwriting tutorials and script examples. 

You are welcome to use any script example we provide for you and plagerize it to your heart's content.  Just add your name, your URL, your offer. This is largely a fill-in-the-blank exercise. Take out "our website" and put in your url.

  4.  COMBINE BUILDING BLOCKS AND SEQUENCES INTO A COMPLETED VIDEO

The video building blocks and sequences we offer are meant to be combined with other building blocks to become a completed video.  Narration and music can be added.  We will do this for you as part of the customization process if you wish.  Any building blocks can be combined along with any sequences.  We just need complete directions. 

Producing the Audio Track to Use in Your Commercial

Next step is to get the new narration recorded. You have several choices. If you want to record the audio yourself, do so and email it to us. This way, you can speak directly to your customers with your voice.

If you want us to record your new narration audio track, we will be honored to. At this point in time, choices for free narration are somewhat limited. As we expand our services, we will offer more free voice-over choices. Right now, we have the one female narrator whom you hear on all the spots. If you are willing to use our female narrator, new narration will not cost you anything extra. All you have to do is email us the script details you want added and we will have Lorraine record your audio track.

If you want a broader selection of potential narrators, we will help you outsource it.

You can hire a professional narrator off any online audio recording service websites. We have used Voices On Call successfully.  No matter whom you hire, this would be a separate transaction outside of the Video Marketing Express.  So, it would be an extra fee payable to the narrator you hire.  It is your responsibility to select, hire and communicate with the audio recording service. They can email us the finished audio and we will edit and mix it with the video.

4. ADD TEXT BOXES AND THOUGHT BUBBLE

Sometimes a well-placed thought bubble or text box can greatly enhance or alter the message of a video. Just tell us where you want them and what you want them to say. When can add them and even make them clickable to another website.

GETTING THE VIDEO ON YOUR SITE

Part of the beauty of the Video Marketing Express is that we not only make the video, but we upload it and host it for you as well. After we customize your video, we will upload it to our server and email you some embed code. It is your responsibility to have this embed code placed on the sites where you want the video to show. The embed code just needs to be copy/pasted onto your specific website, such as your squeeze page or your blog. This is very easy to do and should take you about two minutes. It is a simple copy/past process.

Please note that sites such as You Tube do NOT accept embed code. If you want your video uploaded to You Tube and hosted there, we will do that for you. Please fill out your user name and password in the customization request form and we will upload it to your You Tube channel. Don't have a You Tube channel? We do, and we can host it there if you wish. Go visit you Video Production Tips YouTube channel and see if you would like it hosted there.

At this point in time, we do not upload to any other video sharing sites but as our service grows, we expect to be uploading to more sites. If you feel like that service would be valuable to you, please let us know.

Here's How to Order Customization

Click here to order customization. We will need the title of the videos you want customized and specific instructions on how you would like the finished video.

Please give us as many details and specific instructions as possible. Quality communication and instructions are paramount. To make the video the most effective for you, we need to know exactly what you need in concise, specific terms. If we have questions, we will need to email you before customization can proceed. In some cases we might need to telephone you, so please leave a phone number if instructed to do so.

Once customization orders are finalized, estimated turn-around time is 48 hours.

There is only one free customization per video. Please include all instructions the first time so we can get your your customized videos finished and online as soon as possible. If changes are requested after the initial customization order is finalized, separate fees will apply.

At this time, members are allowed three customizations per month with their monthly $47 membership fee.  Customizations do not accrue from month to month.
